Directions

From the PA Turnpike:

• Take Exit 11 (Bedford)
• Upon Passing through toll booth, turn left at the signal light
• Proceed up the hill one block to next signal light
• Turn left onto the I-99 Ramps
• Stay to the right and follow I-99 North / Altoona signage
• Take I-99 to Altoona 17th Street Exit
• Follow 17th Street into Altoona, staying in the right lane passing through a series of signal lights - from Lowe's to the Station Medical Center
• At the last signal light, 17th Street ends at 12th Avenue, turn right
• Proceed two blocks to the corner of 15th Street and 12th Avenue on which is located the Penn State Downtown Conference Center
• Continue past the corner, the Heritage Discovery Center is the third building on the right
  

Street parking is available during weekend and after business hours events on both sides of 12th Avenue. The Parking Authority lot across the street from the Center is also available during these times. To access this lot, take the left lane and continue past the Center. Turn left before the green fire hydrant.

From Hollidaysburg and points South:

• Take 36N to Altoona via Logan Boulevard
• Logan Boulevard will intersect with 6th Avenue at which there is a signal light
• Turn right onto 6th Avenue and pass through three more signal lights
• At the fourth signal light, 6th Avenue intersects with 17th Street -- turn left
• Follow 17th Street to it's end (four more signal lights) staying in the right hand lane
• Turn RIGHT onto 12th Avenue
• Proceed two blocks, crossing the 15th Street intersection; the Heritage Discovery Center is the third building on the right

From Points North

• Take US-220 / I-99 South
• Take 17th Street Exit
• Keep right at the fork in the ramp
• Merge onto 17th Street
• Stay to the right
• Follow 17th Street into Altoona, staying in the right lane passing through a series of signal lights - from Lowe's to the Station Medical Center
• At the last signal light, 17th Street ends at 12th Avenue, turn right
• Proceed two blocks to the corner of 15th Street and 12th Avenue on which is located the Penn State Downtown Conference Center
